The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a dental benefits program for eligible children aged 2-17 years that provides up to $1,000 in benefits to the child over two consecutive years for basic dental services.
The CDBS will cover your child’s general dental work, including:
The CDBS will not cover orthodontic or cosmetic dental work.
The child friendly clinic at Dentist Mandy know how to examine and treat children. Taking your child to regular check-ups at the dentist is essential to giving your child the best chance of establishing and maintaining a healthy mouth!
Medicare will assess your child’s eligibility each year and a notification will be sent to the child or child’s parent/guardian.
If you want to find out if your child is eligible for the CDBS, please contact Medicare. Before the consultation, we can help you check your balance to see how much of your benefit cap has been used.
Before we provide you with any services, the dentist will discuss with you about the proposed treatment and an estimate of the cost of the treatment.
At Dentist Mandy, we offer bulk-billing services for CDBS patients. This means you won’t need to submit a separate benefit claim to Medicare. Dental benefits for patients under the CDBS are capped at $1,000 over two years. This means that we will accept the payment from CDBS as full-payment for our services and you will be responsible for paying costs (if any) over the $1,000 cap.
At Dentist Mandy, our experience and qualified staff ensures all patients receive the same high standard of care, regardless of your financial circumstances or payment option.
